AUSTIN, Texas (MMD Newswire) March 18, 2010 -- Sometimes by Pat Brown aims to capture the excitement and insecurities that every age experiences when falling in love. It explores the idea that older people today are much more audacious than those in the past and unlikely to shy away from adventure.
Don Jamieson has dedicated his life to being a devoted family man and perfect executive. Retired and financially secure, he believes he has passed the toughest tests manhood can throw at him. This all changes when he encounters Sarah Townsend. Don, who is entrenched in a 40-year marriage which has earned him a hard won reputation for doing the right thing, finds himself craving a different life, one in which he can fully enjoy the passion and intense joy that Sarah sparks inside him. Even though they are conflicted by their clandestine relationship, Don and Sarah are intoxicated by the wealth of possibilities suddenly within their reach. Despite warnings from their friends and consciences, they begin to risk everything in an attempt to build a life together.
Spanning five years, and transporting readers from the heat of Austin to the snow-covered peaks of Aspen, Colo. to the sunflower fields and vineyards of the Provence region in France, this contemporary love story is meant to offer a poignant lesson on how it is never too late to explore life's rich possibilities.
Sometimes is available for sale online at Amazon.com and other channels.
