Libya: EU further extends restrictive measures

Brussels (MMD Newswire) March 21, 2011 --The Council decided today to extend restrictive measures to further persons and entities in view of the gravity of the situation in Libya.

The travel ban and the freeze on assets are extended to another 11 persons and the assets freeze is applied to a further nine entities.

On 28 February 2011, the Council adopted Decision 2011/137/CFSP concerning restrictive measures in view of the situation in Libya.1 The additional persons and entities will be included in the lists of persons and entities subject to restrictive measures set out in Annexes II and IV to Decision 2011/137/CFSP. The new lists will be published in the Official Journal on 22 March.
