Linda Dulaney Portrait painter and Founder of Bay Area Classical Artist Atelier in Foster City California was commissioned to paint the portrait of Dr. Leslie Holmes former pastor of First Presbyterian Church Pittsburg PA. The portrait will be dedicated this Sunday, November 5th at First Presbyterian Church in Pittsburg PA at 12:30pm.The portrait of Dr. Holmes will hang in the Chapel area among other portraits of Senior Pastor's dating back to late 1700.

The FPCP is one of the oldest Protestant entities. Roots go back to when the British defeated the French at Fort Duquesne, at the point of Pittsburgh's three rivers. Upon this defeat, the name was changed to Fort Pitt, later to become "Pitts burg." First Presbyterian Church of Pittsburgh continues its strong ministry.  In its long history, it had 14 senior pastors, all of whom were dedicated to the mission of Jesus Christ throughout the world. Linda is Christian Assyrian born in Mosul Iraq. Linda began as a child to draw the faces of members of her family, as well as actors. Linda continued to draw on her own. In the late 70s, she drew portraits of the entire cast of the TV series Battlestar Galactica. Her drawings were printed in their fan magazine shortly thereafter. In 1979, her portraits were displayed in the City Hall of Chicago, Illinois. In the mid 90s, Linda began to pursue her passion once again under the tutelage of art teachers at local colleges in San Francisco Bay Area.

In 1996, she discovered Anthony Ryder, a contemporary realist master, who became her mentor and teacher. She attended Ryder’s art workshops from 1998 until 2005, where she developed her skills using Classical Realism method. Ryder recognized Linda’s passion and talent, and encouraged her to start the Bay Area Classical Artist Atelier San Francisco Bay Area, which has since welcomed, Anthony Ryder, Michael Grimaldi, Juan Martinez, and other international artists to instruct local art students of all ages at BACAA. Linda’s portraits have been displayed at local galleries and schools. Her commissioned portraits hang in private homes throughout the United States. One of Linda’s recent drawings, “Walter,” is selected and printed in the Portrait Society of America’s November Members Newsletter. She currently lives with her husband Richard and their two children in Foster City, California, where she continues to paint and draw portraits. She is directing and teaching at the Bay Area Classical Artist Atelier is a member of the Portrait Society of America.
