New Book Ready for Review
Beer Pong Isn’t a Job? Finding a Career for Generation Y
Indianapolis, IN -- November 28, 2006 -- Beer Pong Isn’t a Job? Finding a Career for Generation Y is not a guide to winning the popular college party drinking game. Instead, it’s a little book that provides a much needed modern look into the job searching process of today. The book was written by Jared Bieberich, a 23 year old recent college graduate, not a gray-haired professor or researcher. Jared Bieberich successfully navigated the job-searching process and wants to help others of his generation.
“Our generation has many more tools, direct access to companies through the internet, and we are all connected through sites like Facebook or Myspace. Yet, only half of today’s graduates are securing job offers by commencement day. By taking advantage of these resources all around you on campus and on the internet you will not only find a job or internship, but you will find it quickly and more efficiently,” stated the author, Jared Bieberich.
Its relatable tone, humorous comments, and laid back writing style make this a book that college students should not miss. The surprisingly slim size of a book with this amount of information may throw some readers off. The advantages of a lighter book written more effectively should be perfectly clear to the college student.
“The first thing you will notice about this book is the size. It is less than 90 pages long because I know that as a college student I didn’t have time to read many books other than for my courses. I tried to fit as much into this as I could so that students could spend more time finding their first job rather than reading about how to do it,” remarked Jared Bieberich.
