THE TUBERCULOSIS SURVIVAL HANDBOOK, 2ND EDITION

West Palm Beach, FL - (mmd-news) - - This book is an engrossing personal story as well as an invaluable source of information for people with TB and healthcare providers.

TB FACTS: TB infects about one-third of all humans worldwide. In 2005 alone, 9,000,000 people were diagnosed with the infection and more than 2,000,000 died. About 40,000,000 people became latently infected with Mycobacterium Tuberculosis during 2005 and roughly 80% of these new cases will have occurred in just 23 countries. In 2004, 14,500 cases were identified in the US alone. The emergence of Multidrug-resistant Tuberculosis (MDR-TB) is also a hugely growing concern.
