Afghan Wireless Donates Another 6,600 Phones, SIM cards, and GSM Services to the Afghan Police
Kabul, Afghanistan - On December 9th, Afghan Wireless provided 6,600 phones and SIM cards valued at over $330,000 USD to the Afghan Police in a ceremony held at the Ministry of Interior.
Afghan Wireless has always been committed to making a positive contribution for the development of the country of Afghanistan and has been involved in many programs to equip various Departments with mobile phones and connections.
These connections lead to increased productivity, reduced costs, and overall administration efficiency. Afghan Wireless has in the past provided phones, SIM cards, or Internet Service to firefighters, police, Emergency Response Teams, and the Airport officials to help directly benefit the Afghan people that rely on these essential services.
Mr. Ehsan Bayat, Chairman of Afghan Wireless, handed over the phones and the SIM cards to His Excellency Engineer Zarar Ahmad Muqbil (Minister of Interior) and said “The Afghan Police have done a commendable job in a very tough environment and this is just a small token of appreciation from Afghan Wireless”
Today Afghan Wireless connects all major towns and cities in the country and is the only operator to have a microwave backbone covering over 1,650 kilometers.
